360 Flex Summary

I just gave FlashcodersNY a braindump from my 360 Flex Atlanta experience. I wanted to post my slides for reference for the group, but I also figured some other people might be interested.

They might look like nonsense if you didnt hear me talk about each, but there are some good links and interesting tidbits from the conference burried in there.

360 Flex was an amazing conference! The sessions were more advanced than you'd expect and I left really feeling like I learned something useful. In fact, that was the point I was trying to make today. I saw so many great presentations, and learned about some great open source projects. And it wasnt all just showy 3d demos, it was actual useful information and tools. So useful in fact, the day I got back I downloaded 3 open source projects and used them in a live project, saving me days of work.

Here are links to the projects I used:

Degrafa

OpenFlux

FlexLib

These were just some of the open source projects talked about. The community is growing at a pretty fast pace. Search on your own and you will be surprised on how many you can find.

Our goal with the show is to bring the community together so you can learn from one another (cuz John and I just ain’t that smart). I”m glad to see it’s working! :)
